Governor Babajide Sanwo‑Olu has urged Nigerian youths to focus on available opportunities instead of complaining, citing the need for motivation, innovation, and active participation in nation-building.
During an interaction with the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy fellows at Lagos House, Ikeja, Sanwo‑Olu emphasized the importance of staying focused and using provided platforms to share ideas and overcome challenges. He reminded them that technology and global connectivity present vast possibilities for youth empowerment .
He noted that the Academy aims to nurture leadership and critical thinking among young leaders, encouraging persistence even in the face of setbacks: “remain focused, use the opportunity given to you…and be strong‑willed even at your lowest ebb” .
Sanwo‑Olu highlighted how initiatives from his administration, like tech-driven solutions and leadership training, have created pathways for youth engagement. He urged them to leverage these opportunities to shape Nigeria’s future and break societal barriers.
