Abiodun Urges Corporate Bodies to Support Development Efforts in Ogun

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has appealed to financial institutions and corporate organisations operating within the state to actively partner with the government in improving the lives of residents through impactful social investments.

The governor made the call during a public engagement in Abeokuta, stressing that the role of both government and private sector players should not be limited to governance and profit-making, but should also reflect a shared responsibility to drive meaningful change across communities.

“We are calling on all financial institutions and corporate organisations operating in Ogun State to partner with us in making life better for our people,” Governor Abiodun said. “Our relevance as a government, and yours as businesses, should not be defined by profit alone, but by the positive social impact we create together.”

He noted that as the state continues to open its doors to investment and economic growth, it was imperative for businesses to support initiatives that align with the broader goal of social and infrastructural development.

The governor highlighted sectors such as education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and rural development as areas where private sector involvement could yield long-lasting benefits for the people of Ogun State.

Governor Abiodun reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, adding that strategic collaboration between the public and private sectors remains vital to the sustainable progress of the state.
