Anchoria Asset Management, in partnership with the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PSHAN), has launched a cancer awareness and screening initiative aimed at tackling the rising incidence of cervical and prostate cancer in the country.
The programme, which targets underserved communities in Lagos State, is expected to provide free screenings for 250 men and 250 women while educating about 50,000 people nationwide on prevention, risks, and early detection of the diseases.
According to the organisers, the campaign is designed to close gaps in access to healthcare and promote early intervention, particularly in local council areas such as Alimosho and Ikorodu.
The effort combines on-ground medical screening with community sensitisation activities to raise awareness.
Both Anchoria Asset Management and PSHAN expressed commitment to sustaining partnerships that will improve public health outcomes, stressing that early detection remains critical to reducing the burden of cancer in Nigeria.
