The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, has charged newly graduated officers of the Senior Course 12 to remain steadfast in upholding professionalism, integrity, and service excellence in their duties.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony held at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, CGC Adeniyi commended the officers for their dedication and successful completion of the rigorous training program designed to enhance leadership capacity and operational efficiency within the Service.

He reminded the officers that the knowledge acquired must be reflected in their day-to-day responsibilities, especially at a time when the Customs Service is undergoing strategic transformation and modernization.

“The expectations of Nigerians from the Nigeria Customs Service are high. As senior officers, you must not only demonstrate knowledge and discipline but also lead by example in conduct and character,” Adeniyi stated.

The CGC emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in responding to the dynamic nature of global trade and border security. He urged the officers to be ambassadors of the Service’s reform agenda, particularly in areas of anti-smuggling, revenue generation, and trade facilitation.

While congratulating the course participants, the CGC also expressed appreciation to the management and faculty of the Customs College for maintaining high standards in training delivery.

The event was attended by top-ranking Customs officials, representatives from sister security agencies, and families of the graduating officers, all of whom witnessed the formal commissioning of a new set of leaders poised to serve with honor.
