Abuja, Nigeria – The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6th, and Monday, June 9th, 2025, as public holidays to commemorate this year’s Eid-ul-Adha festival.
This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government, in a statement released on Friday. The minister congratulated all Muslim faithful both at home and abroad on the occasion and urged Nigerians to embrace the values of peace, sacrifice, and unity that Eid-ul-Adha represents.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo encouraged citizens to use the festive period to pray for the continued peace, prosperity, and stability of the country, and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the security and welfare of all Nigerians.
He also called on Nigerians to support theadministration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in its ongoing efforts to build a safer, more prosperous nation for all.
