FG Launches Official Website For National Youth Confab

Abuja, June 16, 2025 – The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially unveiled the digital portal for the forthcoming National Youth Conference—popularly known as the “Youth Confab 2025.” Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, announced on Monday that the new website, https://nationalyouthconfab.gov.ng, is now live and will serve as the central hub for registration, information, updates, and contributions from young Nigerians across the country and the diaspora .

Describing it as “more than just a conference,” Olawande emphasised that the Youth Confab is positioned as a generational turning point, a national movement, and a call to action. He affirmed that the platform is youth‑led, inclusive, and non‑partisan, giving young people a structured avenue to influence policy  .

President Bola Tinubu first announced the idea of a 30‑day youth convocation during his Independence Day address on October 1, 2024. This was followed by the inauguration of a 44‑member Planning Committee in March 2025  . The conference is themed “Next‑Gen Nigeria: Crafting Solutions, Owning the Future.” Organized around six thematic pillars—governance, economic transformation, education, technology, climate action, and social inclusion, it aims to harness youth creativity for national development  .

Crucially, the portal supports a multi‑tiered participatory process involving virtual engagements with Nigerians abroad, constituency‑level consultations, zonal consolidation sessions across the six geopolitical zones, and a culminating national conference in Abuja  . The Guardian reports that the initiative anticipates 36,000 delegates, representing each of Nigeria’s 360 federal constituencies, to register by the June 30 deadline  .

This digital gateway reflects the Tinubu administration’s commitment to youth engagement and empowerment, promoting transparency, inclusivity, and innovation in national policymaking. It provides a seamless way for young Nigerians to move from dialogue to tangible solutions in shaping the nation’s future  .
