FG Partners with DBI, SBTS to Equip Youth, Vulnerable Groups with Digital Skills

In a bold move to bridge the digital divide and foster inclusive economic growth, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has partnered with the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) and SBTS Group to empower Nigerian youth and vulnerable populations with modern digital skills.

The initiative, launched under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, aims to drive national digital transformation by equipping participants with essential 21st-century ICT capabilities. The programme targets underserved communities, aligning with the administration’s broader strategy to reduce poverty and promote self-reliance through technology-driven empowerment.

According to the Ministry, the partnership will not only accelerate Nigeria’s digital inclusion goals but also strengthen human capital development by enabling beneficiaries to tap into emerging global opportunities in tech and innovation sectors.

The Digital Bridge Institute (dbi_ng), known for its expertise in ICT training, and SBTS Group, a global tech solutions provider, will facilitate the training sessions, providing practical knowledge in areas such as software development, cybersecurity, data analytics, and digital entrepreneurship.

This collaboration is expected to produce a new wave of digitally skilled Nigerians capable of contributing to the economy while reducing unemployment and vulnerability across various communities.

The programme reflects the government’s continued commitment to inclusive development and leveraging public-private partnerships to uplift citizens, particularly the youth, in the digital age.
