Former CPC Leaders Reaffirm Loyalty to APC, President Tinubu at Abuja Meeting

Prominent leaders of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) bloc within the All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered in Abuja on April 16, 2025, to reaffirm their unwavering loyalty to the APC and express full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. The meeting, led by former Nasarawa State Governor Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, emphasized unity and commitment to the party’s vision and governance reforms.

Attendees included Rt. Hon. Aminu Masari (former Katsina State Governor), Hon. Aliyu Adamu Farouk, political strategist Osita Okechukwu, legal expert Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, Yusuf Salihu, Capt. Bala Jubrin, Uche Oferoh, and Hon. Ayuba Bulama, among others. They collectively dismissed rumours of defection and stressed their integral role in the APC’s foundation and ongoing progress.

The leaders praised President Tinubu’s efforts on economic reforms and national security, pledging to work towards strengthening party cohesion and grassroots mobilization ahead of future political contests. They urged members to resolve grievances through constitutional party channels and avoid actions that could undermine APC unity.

The CPC bloc reaffirmed its position as a vital pillar within the APC, committed to preserving the party’s legacy and supporting Tinubu’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria.
