FRSC Corps Marshal Participates in News Agency of Nigeria’s Fitness Walk to Strengthen Collaboration

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, mni, on April 26, 2025, honored the invitation of the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Mr. Ali Muhammad, by participating in the second edition of the agency’s fitness walk and jogging exercise in Abuja.

The event, which drew participation from various dignitaries and senior government officials, reflects the Corps Marshal’s policy thrust of fostering partnerships and collaboration with key stakeholders. Speaking at the exercise, Shehu Mohammed emphasized the importance of physical fitness not only for personal well-being but also for professional efficiency, especially for officers and personnel tasked with critical national duties like road safety management.

He noted that the FRSC under his leadership is committed to enhancing synergy with the media and other relevant institutions in advancing public safety campaigns and promoting a culture of healthy living among Nigerians. Mohammed also commended the management of the News Agency of Nigeria for sustaining the fitness initiative, which he described as vital for mental alertness, teamwork, and productivity.

The Managing Director of NAN, Mr. Ali Muhammad, expressed his appreciation for the Corps Marshal’s presence, stating that such participation by leaders of major national agencies sends a strong message about the value of fitness, collaboration, and the spirit of service.

The fitness walk and jogging event, now in its second edition, forms part of NAN’s broader corporate wellness programme aimed at promoting a healthy work environment and strengthening inter-agency relationships across the country.
