Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has restated his administration’s unwavering commitment to revitalising the public service sector, positioning it as a benchmark for excellence and innovation across the country.
In a statement issued on Monday, Governor Oborevwori emphasised the need for a forward-looking, well-equipped, and value-driven workforce that can effectively champion sustainable development and inclusive growth throughout the state.
“We are not just reforming the public service — we are building a future-oriented institution where innovation, integrity, and service delivery go hand-in-hand,” the governor declared.
The governor highlighted several strategic policies already in motion, including enhanced training programmes, digitisation of administrative systems, and leadership development initiatives aimed at empowering civil servants with modern skills and ethical values.
According to him, the new approach will foster a responsive and accountable workforce, capable of delivering on the core pillars of the MORE Agenda — Meaningful development, Opportunities for all, Realistic reforms, and Enhanced service delivery.
Governor Oborevwori assured that his administration would continue to invest in capacity building, technological infrastructure, and performance-based reforms to ensure that public institutions in Delta State remain engines of transformation and citizen-focused governance.
