Hajj 2025: Nigerian Agencies on Full Alert to Assist Pilgrims, Emergency Lines Active Round the Clock

In readiness for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, Nigerian authorities have announced that all relevant agencies are on full operational alert to provide timely support and assistance to pilgrims—referred to as the Guests of Allah. This assurance comes as thousands of Nigerian Muslims prepare to embark on the sacred journey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the coming weeks.

According to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), coordinated efforts have been put in place to ensure the welfare, safety, and smooth experience of every pilgrim from departure to return. This includes strategic collaborations with health, security, immigration, and aviation agencies to address all logistical and emergency concerns that may arise throughout the pilgrimage.

Pilgrims are reminded that round-the-clock emergency numbers are fully operational and available to all travellers for any form of assistance. These hotlines are manned by trained personnel and interpreters, equipped to handle issues ranging from health emergencies to lost documents, welfare complaints, or security concerns.

NAHCON reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the 2025 Hajj is not only spiritually fulfilling but also safe and stress-free for all Nigerian contingents. “We recognize that our pilgrims are ambassadors of Nigeria and Guests of Allah. Every agency involved is duty-bound to support them with the utmost diligence and compassion,” a NAHCON spokesperson stated.

In recent years, the Nigerian Hajj delegation has made significant progress in improving service delivery, especially through the digitisation of pilgrim data, medical screening processes, and enhanced travel coordination with Saudi authorities. These advancements are expected to be expanded in this year’s operation.

Pilgrims are strongly encouraged to keep the emergency contacts handy, follow official instructions, and maintain close communication with their respective state Hajj boards for real-time updates. The agencies continue to urge pilgrims to report any challenges promptly and trust in the system set in place to assist them.

As the sacred season draws near, Nigeria’s pilgrimage agencies remain committed to upholding the highest standards of support, ensuring that the journey of faith is marked by peace, dignity, and divine fulfillment.
