At least five people have been confirmed dead and 92 others injured following a wave of Iranian missile and drone strikes on multiple locations across Israel, according to Israeli rescue services.

The strikes, which targeted both military and civilian sites, marked one of the most intense escalations in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. Emergency medical responders stated that casualties were recorded in Tel Aviv, Be’er Sheva, and parts of northern Israel.

Israel’s emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA), confirmed the figures on Monday morning, adding that dozens of those injured suffered shrapnel wounds, burns, and trauma-related injuries. Hospitals across the affected regions have activated emergency protocols to manage the influx of patients.

The Israeli government has vowed a “decisive response” to the attack. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that dozens of Iranian projectiles were intercepted by its Iron Dome and other air defense systems, but acknowledged that some managed to breach defenses.

Global leaders have expressed growing concern over the escalation, urging restraint and calling for immediate diplomatic intervention to de-escalate the conflict. The United Nations Security Council is expected to convene an emergency session later today to discuss the crisis.
