The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has secured quality accommodation in Makkah for intending pilgrims from the state ahead of the 2025 Hajj exercise. This development comes as part of the state government’s proactive efforts to ensure a comfortable and spiritually fulfilling experience for all pilgrims under its care.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by Malam Buhari Marabar Jos, a member of the Special Committee overseeing the affairs of the Agency, during a press briefing held in Kaduna shortly after his return from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He explained that the accommodation arrangements were carefully vetted and fully meet the standards set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) as well as the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj.
According to Malam Buhari, the Kaduna delegation ensured that the lodgings secured were not only in close proximity to key religious sites in Makkah but were also equipped with modern facilities to cater to the comfort and safety of pilgrims throughout the Hajj period. He stressed that this early arrangement is part of a broader strategy to eliminate last-minute challenges that have often affected Hajj logistics in the past.
He further disclosed that the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Malam Salihu Abubakar, is currently in Saudi Arabia with other officials, finalizing remaining logistics and agreements related to the 2025 pilgrimage. Their mission, he noted, is in line with the state’s commitment to operational excellence and accountability in the Hajj process.
Malam Buhari also used the occasion to encourage all prospective pilgrims to actively attend the ongoing weekly enlightenment programs being conducted across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State. These sessions, he said, are crucial for equipping pilgrims with the religious, health, and travel information necessary for a successful and spiritually rewarding Hajj.
He reaffirmed the administration of Governor Uba Sani’s steadfast dedication to the welfare of Kaduna pilgrims, noting that the government is sparing no effort in ensuring that every aspect of the journey—from transportation and accommodation to health and security—is properly handled.
It was also revealed that each pilgrim has invested over eight million naira into this spiritual journey, further underscoring the importance of adequate preparation and value for their commitment. Malam Buhari assured that the agency remains focused on delivering an organized and hitch-free Hajj experience reflective of the trust reposed in it by the people of Kaduna State.
