The Parastatals Monitoring Office has convened the first quarter 2025 Parastatals Revenue Generating Meeting, bringing together heads of parastatals, agencies, and government-owned companies across Lagos State to evaluate financial performance and reinforce revenue optimization strategies.
The meeting, held in Lagos, served as a platform for performance appraisal and accountability as well as collaboration among revenue-generating entities of the state government. It aimed to review revenue returns, address operational challenges, and align agencies with the state’s broader economic goals.
During the session, heads of agencies presented their revenue reports, detailing income generated within the first three months of the year and outlining plans for improved performance in subsequent quarters. Discussions focused on curbing revenue leakages, enhancing efficiency, and embracing digital solutions to automate financial operations.
A representative of the Parastatals Monitoring Office emphasized Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to prudent fiscal management and reiterated that every agency must contribute meaningfully to the administration’s THEMES Plus development agenda.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to transparency, improved service delivery, and strategic revenue generation to support Lagos State’s infrastructural and social development goals.
The quarterly review meeting is part of the state’s broader reforms to strengthen public financial management and ensure that government-owned enterprises function efficiently and accountably.
