LASAMBUS Achieves 97.5% Emergency Response Success Rate in Four Years

Lagos, Nigeria – June 2025
The Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) has recorded an impressive 97.5% success rate in emergency response operations over the past four years, underscoring the efficiency and resilience of the state’s pre-hospital care system.

This achievement was disclosed by the General Manager of LASAMBUS, Dr. Adebayo Tiamiyu, who attributed the milestone to improved training, modernized equipment, prompt dispatch coordination, and unwavering support from the state government under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Dr. Tiamiyu noted that the agency responded to thousands of emergency cases, including road traffic accidents, medical crises, and disaster incidents, saving countless lives across Lagos’ 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas.

He affirmed LASAMBUS’s commitment to even better service delivery, stating that the agency is working toward achieving 100% emergency response efficiency by expanding coverage, deploying more ambulances, and leveraging smart technology for real-time interventions.

The success story of LASAMBUS reflects Lagos State’s broader efforts to build a responsive and inclusive healthcare system that prioritizes the welfare and safety of all residents.
