March 2025 FAAC Allocation: N1.578 Trillion Shared Among FG, States, and Local Governments

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of N1.578 trillion to the Federal Government, state governments, and local government councils for the month of March 2025.

This marks the third consecutive month of declining revenue allocations this year, down from N1.678 trillion in February and N1.703 trillion in January.

Breakdown of March 2025 FAAC Allocation:

Federal Government: N528.696 billion

State Governments: N530.448 billion

Local Government Councils: N387.002 billion.

Oil-Producing States (13% Derivation): N132.611 billion.

The total distributable revenue includes statutory revenue, Value Added Tax (VAT), Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and exchange difference earnings. While there was a slight increase in gross statutory revenue inflows, the overall allocation declined due to reduced VAT and EMTL receipts.

Despite the dip in allocations, the FAAC disbursement continues to provide critical funding for the three tiers of government to support their operational and developmental activities. The FAAC meeting that approved this distribution was held in Abuja in April 2025.This allocation highlights ongoing fiscal challenges but underscores the commitment to sustaining government functions across the federation.
