The Ministry of Education has commended the exemplary management of the National Common Entrance Exam for Unity Schools, which saw approximately 64,000 candidates take part in the examination in a remarkably smooth and well-organized manner.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the Minister of Education, Dr. Chinedu Okafor, praised the collaborative efforts of teachers, exam invigilators, and school administrators in ensuring that the exam process was free from disruptions and conducted with utmost fairness.
“Our comprehensive planning and coordination have paid off. The smooth conduct of this exam is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our educators and officials. It reassures parents and stakeholders that our education system is continuously improving,” Dr. Okafor said.
The Unity Schools Exam, a critical entrance test for candidates aspiring to gain admission into secondary schools, was held across multiple centres nationwide. The Minister noted that the successful execution of the exam not only highlights the government’s commitment to educational excellence but also helps in identifying talented students who can contribute to the nation’s development in future years.
Officials also confirmed that all examination centres were equipped with updated technology and strict security measures to prevent malpractices. The Ministry plans to use the exam results as a benchmark for further improvements in school admission processes and educational policy reforms.
