The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reiterated its commitment to excellence and professionalism, urging newly admitted nursing students at the Nigerian Air Force College of Nursing Sciences (NAFCONS) to embrace hard work and discipline as they embark on their training journey. This call was made during the induction ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic session held at the NAF Base in Kaduna.
Speaking at the event, the Commandant of NAFCONS emphasized that there is no room for mediocrity in the program, which is designed to produce top-tier healthcare professionals capable of addressing contemporary health challenges. He reminded the students that their admission into one of Nigeria’s most prestigious nursing institutions comes with great responsibility and expectations. “You are here not just to learn but to uphold the values of integrity, service before self, and excellence, which are the core principles of the Nigerian Air Force,” he stated.
The induction ceremony marked a significant milestone for the students, who were officially welcomed into the nursing profession through traditional rites such as the presentation of caps, lighting of candles, and recitation of the Nurses’ Pledge.
