The National dawah officer of NASFAT ,Imam Abdul Ganiyy Raji in his jumat message to Muslims world over has encouraged all Muslims to use the coming ileya festival ( eid-l-adha) to increase in charity which is primary aims and objectives of the festive period.
Imam Raji made this statement today while delivering his sermon at NASFAT headquarters km 36 Lagos ibadan expressway Assese ogun state .
The dawah officer expatiate the need to have the knowledge of the festival rather than the merry making that may mare the reward of the sacrifice if knowledge is lost in the process of getting the festival done without adequate knowhow .
He emphasized that the story behind the Eid celebration is no more news but the basics of the story is what some Muslims still don’t have the knowledge which has made them to celebrate beyond the legacies of the holy prophet Muhammad.
The secretary to the mission board also educate the people on range of animals that could be used to sacrifice for the Eid if they really want to follow Allah’s commandments and the legacies of the holy prophet.
He pointed at Camel ,Cow,Ram and goat as animals permissible for the eid.while the age of the camel must not be less than five years,cow two years or above, the age of Ram must be between a year and above and the goat must not be less than six months before the eid day.
He also reiterated that family and friends are also part of the beneficiaries of the slaughtered animals as well as neighbors and the needy around your home.
He cautioned Muslims to refrain from borrowing money for the celebration of Eid adding that it may amount to an act of extravagance which was not part of the legacies of the holy prophet Muhammad.
He also gave detailed information about curibani which is the act of catering for the less privileged to make them feel thankful to Allah on special occasions like the Eid day, adding that NASFAT has a committee for making the less privilege happy and feel among joyful people on the Eid day.
He concluded that NASFAT has a package to share cow and other food items for the people at Asese on Eid day as part of the efforts of the society to extend hands of love and support to people who may be in need of support to make them happy and forget their sorrow as part of the society’s charity to mankind and that what Islam is known for.
He prayed to Allah to count every living Muslims around the world worthy of the Eid celebration and accept it from all as of worship.
