NASFAT Strengthens Youth Empowerment Drive with Launch of Activate Cohort 2.0

In a significant stride toward fostering economic empowerment and youth development, the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has officially launched Activate Cohort 2.0, the second phase of its flagship youth empowerment program designed to equip young Nigerians with cutting-edge tech and soft skills.

The initiative is a strategic response to the challenges of youth unemployment, digital exclusion, and the need to build self-reliant, future-ready young professionals. Notably, the program welcomes participants from diverse faith backgrounds, reflecting NASFAT’s broader commitment to inclusive empowerment beyond religious lines.

At the virtual induction ceremony held on Saturday, 25th May 2025, NASFAT reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to youth development, emphasizing that the program goes beyond skills training and it is about building resilience, nurturing ambition, and creating pathways to real economic opportunities. Participants were encouraged to remain focused and seek support when facing challenges, with top-performing graduates to be prioritized for job placements and mentorship opportunities.

Building on Success: From Vision to Action
The Activate program, first launched in July 2024, aims to bridge Nigeria’s digital divide by providing practical training in UI/UX Design, Frontend Development (React.js), WordPress Development, and essential soft skills such as communication, emotional intelligence, workplace etiquette, and monetizing digital expertise. This year, the curriculum has been expanded to include Artificial Intelligence (AI), recognizing its critical role in the evolving global digital economy.

The Chairman of the Activate Initiative, Ajiroba Hammed, congratulated the participants and emphasized the importance of commitment and discipline, describing the program as a transformative opportunity for both personal and professional growth. He also charged the new cohort to remain dedicated, reminding them that the journey would require focus, but the outcomes would be life-changing.

Graduates from the first cohort also shared their personal success stories, highlighting how the Activate program had shaped their professional journeys, boosted their confidence, and opened up new career opportunities. They encouraged the new participants to make the most of this valuable opportunity and to stay motivated throughout the program.

As Activate Cohort 2.0 kicks off, NASFAT continues to position itself as a leading force in preparing Nigerian youths across religious and social lines, to thrive in an increasingly digital and competitive economy, not just by teaching skills, but by building futures.
