Nigeria, Kuwait Fund Partner To Revolutionize Education In Kaduna State

KADUNA , August 6, 2025— In a bold stride towards transforming the education landscape in Northern Nigeria, the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development have entered into a strategic partnership to improve educational infrastructure and access across Kaduna State.

The partnership, officially launched on Tuesday in Kaduna, will see significant investments directed at the construction and rehabilitation of schools, provision of learning materials, and enhancement of teacher training and welfare. The initiative aims to uplift educational standards in underserved communities, especially within rural local government areas of the state.

Governor Uba Sani, while speaking at the launch, expressed gratitude to the Kuwait Fund and emphasized that the intervention will play a pivotal role in reducing the out-of-school children rate and improving human capital development. “This partnership represents a new dawn for our state’s education sector,” he said.

Representatives of the Kuwait Fund reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Nigeria’s development agenda, noting that education remains a vital pillar in driving socio-economic growth and peace in the region.

The project will be executed in phases and is expected to directly benefit over 300,000 students, while also creating employment opportunities for teachers, artisans, and contractors engaged in school development efforts.

With Kaduna State often spotlighted for its education reforms, this partnership further positions it as a model for sustainable development through international cooperation.
