Nigeria Police Force, POWA Commission Model Children’s School in Bauchi State

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), in partnership with the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), has officially commissioned the POWA Model Children’s School located in Sum, Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State. The ceremony, which took place recently, marks a significant step towards improving the welfare of police families and supporting educational development in the region.

Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun, wife of the Inspector General of Police and National President of POWA, led the commissioning event. She highlighted the association’s dedication to providing quality education and empowering the families of police personnel through initiatives like this school.

“Education is a fundamental pillar of our mission at POWA,” Mrs. Egbetokun said. “This school stands as a symbol of our commitment to nurturing the academic and personal growth of the children of our officers and the wider community.”

The POWA Model Children’s School is equipped with modern facilities aimed at creating a conducive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and holistic development. The project aligns with POWA’s broader objective of enhancing the living standards of police families while positively impacting host communities.

Community leaders, local government officials, and members of the police force were present at the event and expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting its potential to strengthen community relations and expand educational opportunities in Bauchi State.

This development underscores ongoing efforts by the Nigeria Police Force and POWA to invest in the welfare of police families and to build stronger ties with the communities they serve nationwide.
