NSCDC Boss Hails Kaduna’s Non-Kinetic Approach to Security, Commends Governor Uba Sani’s Inclusive Governance

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and strategic security management, as he received the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, who is currently on an operational tour of the North West Zone.

During the courtesy visit to the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Dr. Audi lauded the Kaduna State Government for its proactive identification of key insecurity drivers and the adoption of a non-kinetic strategy that, according to him, has significantly contributed to stabilizing the state’s security landscape.

He expressed appreciation for the state’s unwavering logistical support to the NSCDC and acknowledged the government’s provision of land for the construction of the Corps’ State Headquarters in Kaduna. The Commandant General emphasized that Kaduna’s security architecture is a model worth emulating across other volatile regions.

In his response, Governor Sani commended Dr. Audi for the synergy his leadership has fostered among Nigeria’s various security agencies, particularly in tackling the complex insecurity challenges plaguing the country. He further praised the effective coordination of security efforts by the Office of the National Security Adviser, which he said has improved the decisiveness of operations across states, making it increasingly difficult for criminal elements to exploit interstate boundaries as escape routes.

“Kaduna State places governance above politics,” Governor Sani said. “We operate an all-inclusive administration where every citizen has a voice and role to play. This is why Kaduna remains a cosmopolitan state. Here, there is no indigene-resident dichotomy—only citizens united by a common vision for peace and progress.”

The governor emphasized that his administration’s open-door policy and citizen-centric development initiatives continue to attract Nigerians from diverse backgrounds who now proudly call Kaduna home.

The visit by the NSCDC Commandant General is seen as a major boost to the state’s collaborative security drive, further strengthening inter-agency relationships and affirming Kaduna’s place as a trailblazer in innovative governance and non-military conflict resolution.

Governor Uba Sani’s leadership has drawn national attention for blending security reforms with inclusive political engagement, a formula many believe could serve as a blueprint for other states grappling with similar challenges.
