Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is expected to remain sidelined until the end of the month after sustaining an ankle ligament injury during Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against Rwanda on September 6.
The Galatasaray forward, who was forced off in the first half of the match, has already missed his club’s victory over Eyüpspor and the Champions League opener against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Medical assessments confirmed a moderate ankle sprain, keeping him out of action for at least two more fixtures.
Club officials indicated that Osimhen will not feature in Galatasaray’s upcoming Super Lig games against Konyaspor and Alanyaspor.
However, the 26-year-old is being closely monitored with the aim of having him fit for the Champions League clash with Liverpool at Rams Park on September 30.
