President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday hosted a closed-door meeting with Senators from the Northern region at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The high-level meeting, held behind closed doors, is believed to have focused on key national issues, including security, economic development, and regional integration efforts. Although details of the discussion were not disclosed to the press, sources at the Villa described the meeting as “strategic and forward-looking.”
Present at the meeting were Senate leaders and influential lawmakers from the 19 Northern states, many of whom have been vocal about the need for increased federal support for security and infrastructure in their constituencies.
The engagement is part of President Tinubu’s ongoing consultations with critical stakeholders across the country aimed at fostering unity and inclusive governance.
