The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a visionary leader whose life story reflects the remarkable grace and faithfulness of God.
In a statement released to mark the President’s 73rd birthday celebration and signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Segun Tomori, Alake highlighted the symbolic timing of the occasion, which coincides with the end of Ramadan fasting.
“The President’s life journey represents divine grace and faithfulness in human affairs,” Alake stated, while urging Nigerians to honour Tinubu’s request for prayers for the nation’s peace and prosperity rather than elaborate celebrations.
Reflecting on Tinubu’s nearly two-year tenure as President, the Minister praised his courage in implementing bold economic reforms which he claims are beginning to yield positive results, including what he described as declining inflation rates, reduced food prices, and improved security across the country.
Alake specifically commended the enhanced coordination among security agencies under Tinubu’s leadership, which he said has resulted in significant victories against terrorist groups and notorious bandit leaders.

“Against all odds, you have championed reforms that are gradually transforming our nation. Your unwavering commitment to securing Nigeria is evident in the strides made in combating insecurity,” the Minister was quoted as saying.
The statement concluded with prayers for Tinubu’s continued good health and divine wisdom to lead Nigeria toward prosperity, while encouraging citizens of all faiths to use this period for national reflection and prayers for the country’s development.
The President, who assumed office in May 2023, continues to implement his “Renewed Hope Agenda” amid ongoing economic challenges facing the nation.
