The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) will mark its 30th anniversary with a grand lecture on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Main Auditorium of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba, Lagos.
According to a statement signed by Alhaji Owolabi Oseni, National Publicity Secretary, NASFAT, the event will feature a distinguished lineup of guests, with Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, attending as the Special Guest of Honour. Known for his leadership and commitment to national development, Shettima’s participation is expected to be one of the highlights of the milestone celebration.
Delivering the keynote address will be former Lagos State Governor and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN. A respected public servant and legal luminary, Fashola is expected to bring his depth of experience and vision to the occasion.
Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, will serve as the Chief Host, while his Ogun State counterpart, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, will act as Co-Host, further underscoring the event’s significance across the Southwest region.
The lecture will be chaired by Dr. Wale Babalakin, OFR, SAN, an eminent lawyer and administrator renowned for his contributions to national development.
NASFAT President, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, described the society as a trailblazer in contemporary Islamic outreach, blending spiritual enlightenment with innovation to meet the needs of both present and future generations.
The Anniversary Planning Committee is led by Alhaji Isiak Kayode Oshinuga, a distinguished past Governor of Lions Club District 404B2 Nigeria, who has overseen preparations for what promises to be a memorable and impactful celebration.
Speaking ahead of the event, NASFAT’s Chief Missioner, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, emphasized the society’s commitment to inclusive spiritual development, with activities thriving in over 360 locations worldwide and welcoming people from all walks of life.
Founded three decades ago, NASFAT has grown into a global Islamic movement dedicated to spreading knowledge, faith, and community service.
