In an extraordinary display of devotion and endurance, a group of Spanish pilgrims has arrived in Makkah after completing a 240-day journey on horseback, traversing multiple countries and continents to fulfill their spiritual obligation of Hajj.
The group, which set out from Spain nearly eight months ago, travelled through various terrains, facing unpredictable weather, border crossings, and physical exhaustion. Yet, driven by faith and a deep spiritual calling, they remained steadfast on their mission to reach the Holy City in time for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
Their arrival at the sacred grounds of Makkah was met with emotion, as the pilgrims dismounted with visible awe and tears. Onlookers, fellow pilgrims, and local authorities welcomed them warmly, acknowledging the profound symbolism of their journey.
Speaking to the media, one of the riders expressed, “This was not just a physical journey, but a spiritual transformation. Every step, every challenge, brought us closer to our Creator.”
Their journey echoes the historical routes of early pilgrims, who once travelled vast distances by foot, camel, or horse to answer the call to Hajj. The Spanish group’s odyssey serves as a poignant reminder of the timeless significance and personal sacrifice often associated with the pilgrimage.
Authorities in Makkah commended the group’s commitment and ensured they were provided with the necessary support and accommodation for a peaceful and fulfilling Hajj experience.
