Tinubu Extends Immigration CG Nandap’s Tenure Until 2026

President Bola Tinubu has approved the extension of Kemi Nandap’s tenure as Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) until December 31, 2026. Nandap, who joined the NIS in 1989, was initially appointed as Comptroller-General on March 1, 2024, with a tenure set to end on August 31, 2025.

Tinubu commended Nandap for her exemplary leadership, highlighting significant improvements in border management, immigration modernization, and national security under her watch. The President urged Nandap to continue dedicating herself to the Service’s strategic priorities, which align with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The extension is a testament to Nandap’s commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s borders and ensuring safe and legal migration. Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the NIS in achieving its mandate.
