Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have made a significant drug bust, uncovering cocaine meticulously concealed within the walls of several suitcases.
The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, shared footage of the operation on X.com (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, showcasing the extent of the smugglers’ efforts.
According to a statement from the NDLEA, the traffickers had gone to great lengths to hide the illicit drugs, embedding the cocaine with surgical precision inside the suitcase walls. The agency described the method as a “factory-fitting” technique, indicating the level of planning involved in the operation.
The statement further noted, “Narco-trend update: Strewing the walls of suitcases, in factory-fitting precision, with cocaine, must have taken a lot of effort and resources, but in the end, #NDLEA_Nigeria officers still uncovered all, as revealed in these videos showing the latest seizure.”
The videos shared by the NDLEA depict officers carefully slicing through the suitcase linings, revealing the hidden narcotics.
This latest interception highlights the ongoing efforts of the NDLEA in its fight against drug trafficking and its commitment to curbing the illegal drug trade across Nigeria.
