As Muslims across Nigeria and the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, a season symbolizing sacrifice, compassion, and community solidarity, the member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency, Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, has demonstrated a practical expression of the season’s spirit by disbursing over ₦80 million to support his constituents.
The financial support, which spans across various wards in his constituency, was aimed at easing the economic burden on families, enabling them to partake in the Sallah festivities with joy and dignity.
According to a statement released by his media office, the funds were allocated to provide rams, food items, clothing, and direct cash transfers to vulnerable households, religious groups, community leaders, and youth associations.
“Eid-el-Kabir is not just a celebration; it is a call to duty a reminder to serve, to give, and to uplift those in need. My commitment to the people of Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam remains unwavering,” Hon. Gagdi stated.
Community leaders and beneficiaries have lauded the gesture, describing it as timely and reflective of true servant leadership. The intervention is part of Gagdi’s broader efforts to maintain a people-oriented representation, with a focus on welfare, education, and infrastructure development.
As the festivities continue, the lawmaker urged Nigerians to embrace unity, sacrifice, and mutual respect, especially at a time when the nation faces economic and social challenges.
