The Olubadan Advisory Council has taken decisive action by dismissing two Mogajis—Chief Musilu Yekini Olaoye of Peluseriki compound, Isale Osi, and Chief Rasaki Funso Ayinde Oguntobi of Oloola Ogungbesan compound, Bode—following escalating family protests and allegations of misconduct. The council’s decision, endorsed by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, is effective immediately. In a clear message to all traditional titleholders, the dismissed Mogajis have been warned against representing themselves as traditional rulers going forward. This move reflects the council’s dedication to preserving peace, unity, and integrity within Ibadan’s traditional institutions, urging all stakeholders to work together for the continued stability and progress of the community.
