First Batch of Bauchi Pilgrims Returns Safely from Hajj

Bauchi, Nigeria June 13, 2025
The first batch of Nigerian pilgrims from Bauchi State has returned safely from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after completing the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.

The pilgrims landed at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi, in the early hours of Friday to a warm reception by state officials, family members, and representatives of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

Confirming their safe arrival, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Adamu, expressed gratitude to Allah for the safe journey and successful completion of the religious rites.

“Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to receive our first batch of pilgrims back home in good health. The government and board remain committed to ensuring the welfare of all pilgrims throughout the return process,” he stated.

He further noted that arrangements are in place for the timely return of subsequent batches, with proper coordination between the board, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), and relevant aviation authorities.

Relatives of the returnees expressed joy and appreciation for the smooth process, praying for the safe return of the remaining pilgrims still in Saudi Arabia.

This marks a key milestone in the return phase of the 2025 Hajj operations for Bauchi State, following what officials have described as one of the most peaceful and well-coordinated pilgrimages in recent years.
