KANO, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State, has announced that the screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into its 12th Regular Course is scheduled to hold from October 6 to October 15, 2025.
According to a statement issued by the Academy’s Registrar, Mr. Ekpere Ezeugwu, on Wednesday, the screening process will be comprehensive, involving a computer-based examination, physical features check, medical screening, and a selection board interview.
The exercise will be conducted in batches based on the candidates’ states of origin. The schedule is as follows:
October 6: Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi (Batch A)
October 7: Bauchi (Batch B), Bayelsa, Benue, Borno (Batch A)
October 8: Borno (Batch B), Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo (Batch A)
October 9: Edo (Batch B), Ekiti, Enugu, Federal Capital Territory, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa (Batch A)
October 10: Jigawa (Batch B), Kaduna, Kano (Batch A)
October 11: Kano (Batch B), Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi (Batch A)
October 12: Kogi (Batch B), Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun (Batch A)
October 13: Ogun (Batch B), Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau (Batch A)
October 14: Plateau (Batch B), Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe (Batch A)
October 15: Yobe (Batch B), Zamfara
Mr. Ezeugwu emphasized that candidates must adhere strictly to their assigned dates. “Candidates should note that they will not be attended to before or after the dates indicated against their states of origin,” the registrar stated.
Required Documents and Dress Code
Prospective candidates are required to appear in a specified dress code: white T-shirts, white shorts, white socks, and white canvas shoes.
They are also mandated to present both original and photocopies of several documents, including:
Primary school certificate
Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results
JAMB slip
Birth certificate or declaration of age
Local government indigene certificate
Letter of identification
Guarantor’s form
Medical certificate of fitness from a government hospital
National Identification Number (NIN) slip
Passport photographs
Acknowledgement slip printed from the Academy’s admission portal
The registrar also issued a warning to applicants to be vigilant against fraudsters, noting, “Candidates are warned to beware of fake social media accounts impersonating the Nigeria Police Academy.”
The Academy advises all shortlisted candidates to prepare adequately and ensure they have all necessary documents ready for the screening exercise.
