NYSC Begins Verification of Credentials and Travel Documents for Foreign-Trained Graduates in 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II

September 4, 2025 | Abuja, Nigeria

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the commencement of physical verification for credentials and travel documents of all foreign-trained graduates mobilized for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Service Year.

According to the scheme, the exercise is compulsory to confirm the authenticity of academic qualifications and travel documents of graduates who obtained their degrees outside Nigeria before they can be cleared for deployment.

The verification will be conducted simultaneously at designated centres across the country, in line with the timetable and guidelines earlier issued by the NYSC.

Graduates are required to present original copies of their degree certificates, transcripts, travel documents—including international passports with visas showing entry and exit stamps—as well as any other relevant documents for validation.

The NYSC cautioned that candidates who fail to present valid documents will be disqualified from the service year. It further stressed that the scheme remains committed to transparency, accountability, and fairness in its mobilization process.

Prospective corps members have been advised to check the NYSC portal regularly for updates on their verification venues, dates, and other necessary instructions.
